About the School

Pamheiba Akoijam, also known as Akoi, is an accomplished drummer, instructor, and the founder of both Bombay Drum School and Bombay Music School.

 

With 18 years of experience in performing and teaching, he has collaborated with renowned artists and bands such as Clinton Cerejo, Mohini Dey, Supervibe, ShredxXx, and more.

 

Akoi recently released the album *Celestial Prophecies* with his band, ShredxXx.

Akoi is a Grade 8 certified drummer from Rockschool College of Music, London.

Apoorva is a 27-year-old musician and educator with 19 years of experience.

 

She trained in Indian Classical and Western vocals from age 8 and started guitar at 13.

​

An award-winning artist, Apoorva was honored by the President of India in 2015 and won first place at the 2018 International Youth Festival. 

​

With a Bachelor's and Master's in Vocal Music from CSJMU, she has 5+ years of teaching experience, drawing inspiration from artists like Joni Mitchell, Tool, Meshuggah, Abbath, and Sade.

Yashraj Verma is a 27-year-old musician and educator with expertise in both Indian and Western Classical Music.

 

He holds a degree from CSJM University and has spent 9 years studying music.

With 4 years of experience as a piano teacher, he has also worked as a songwriter, composer, and performed nation wide with various artists.

​

Yashraj draws inspiration from a wide range of artists, including Guthrie Govan, Bob Marley, A.R. Rahman, Chopin, Bach, Beethoven, and Jimi Hendrix.
